Zambia have been handed an injury boost with the timely recovery of midfielder Makuka Mulenga ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifier against Ghana on Friday.
The Chipolopolo camp have been blighted with mounting injuries ahead their must-win encounter against the Black Stars.
Team doctor Joseph Kubango confirmed on Tuesday strikers Collins Mbesuma and Jacob Mulenga have been ruled out of the game to be played in Kumasi through injury.
Coach Renard Herve has however received some good news on the injury front with confirmation Makuka Mulenga has recovered from an unspecified injury and will be available for selection against Ghana on Friday.
“Mukuka has been training, everything is good with Mukuka so we don’t have any
issues,” team doctor Joseph Kubango revealed.
“…he is in good health and has completely recovered from his injury. It is now a
technical issue and nothing medical.”
Mulenga will therefore be part of the Zambian team that will travel to Ghana from their camping base in South Africa on Wednesday.
