Zambia coach touts quality of Ghana players

Zambia coach Herve Renard has passed glowing remarks over the quality of players in the Ghana camp at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Frenchman served as a physical instructor under Claude Leroy during his time as coach of the Black Stars between 2006 and 2008.

It was during this time that Renard met and worked with heavyweights such as Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and Stephen Appiah while also coming into contact with emerging stars.

He is therefore not surprised with the progress made by the Ghana team since his departure in 2008.

"I was lucky to have my chance with Ghana, they are fantastic players," he said.

"Tactically they are perfect because they all play at the highest level."
