Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah believes Friday’s final Group D World Cup qualifier against Zambia will be a difficult task.
The Black Stars must avoid defeat against the Chipolopolo to advance to the play-off round of the qualifiers.
But Zambia are counting on their recent better record against the 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists to cause an upset.
The dethroned African champions beat Ghana 1-0 last June in the corresponding fixture and had earlier in February beaten them by the same scoreline in the semi-final of the 2012 Nations Cup.
Appiah anticipates a grudge contest for the sole qualification spot to the final round.
“It’s not an easy game. Zambia is also a very good side and it’s important that we prepare very well physiologically and I believe the boys are really psyched up for the game,” Appiah said.
