Young Kotoko are demanding a 15 percent payment from the purported amount received by AshantiGold for the transfer of striker Opoku Agyemang to CS Sfaxien.

The Sunyani-based side have hurled the Ghana Premier League leaders to the Ghana FA for adjudication on the case.

Young Kotoko claim they are owed onward transfer fees for the sale of Opoku Agyemang to the Tunisian club in 2007.

But AshantiGold also claim they received no amount for the sale of the Ghana striker despite entering into an $80,000 agreement with Sfaxien.

“We had agreed to sell Opoku Agyemang to Sfaxien for $80,000 but that money was not paid,” AshGold Chief Executive Officer Kudjoe Fianoo told Kessben FM.

“We took Sfaxien to FIFA but we lost the case and therefore we didn’t receive any money so how then do we pay onward transfer fee?

“But the case is with the GFA so we await the verdict.”

Opoku Agyemang has since played for Al Sadd, Al-Ahly, Levski Sofia, and FK Partizan.

The current whereabouts of the player is however readily unknown.
