Yaw Preko has been appointed as assistant coach of the local Black Stars

Preko will assist Dauda Luttrodt who has been elevated as head coach as Kwesi Appiah will be busy with the senior national team for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
The home-based national team will compete with four other teams in the two-day tournament at the Cicero Pompeu de Toledo Stadium in Sao Paulo.
The matches will be played on January 12 and 13, 2013.
But the team will stay in Sao Paulo for ten (10) extra days and will play three friendly matches with yet-to-be named opponents.
The tournament forms part of Ghana’s preparations for next June’s 2014 African Nations Championships (CHAN) qualifier with Benin.
