Ashantigold are expected to confirm the permanent appointment of à coach Yaw Acheampong.
The ex-Ghana international has been assured he is the right man for the job after he guided the team to second position in the top-flight.
Acheampong has agreed to accept the position in principle and the remainingà contractualà issues are expected to be ironed out in the coming days.
It was widely believed officials of the Obuasi-based club were reportedly determined to bring in an expatriate to manage the club next season but have now decided that Acheampongââ¬â¢s claims on the vacancy are impossible to ignore.
