AWOL Asante Kotoko midfielder Yahaya Mohammed reportedly returned to Accra on Sunday night but has refused to answer calls from top Kotoko officials.

The 26-year-old abandoned Kotoko to sign a two-year-contract with Libyan side Ittihad Tripoli worth $200,000 leaving the Ghanaian champions in the dark about his whereabout until GHANAsoccernet.com's revelation last week.

Kotoko have reported the contract to the Ghana Football Association for onwards investigations by the continent's football regulatory body, CAF but the player has insisted he only agreed pre-contractual terms with the club.

But since returning to Accra on Sunday, he has refused to answer calls from top Kotoko officials who are demanding explanations for his actions.

GHANAsoccernet.com understands Kotoko will wield the disciplinary axe and punish the midfielder who played at the 2014 CHAN tournament for Ghana.
