Yahaya Mohammed insists he is not interested in personal glory
Amidaus Professionals midfielder Yahaya Mohammed admits getting results for the team is far more important than his own goal tally.
The on-loan Asante Kotoko enforcer has been in blistering goal-scoring form for the newly promoted side this season.
He has found the back of the net 11 times in 15 matches to emerge the leading goal scorer in the Ghanaian top-flight.
But the 24-year-old admits his goals mean little if Amidaus aren’t getting the results.
“I’m happy that we’re getting some decent results and that for me is more important than the goals that I have scored,” Mohammed said
“I am not interested in winning the goal king accolade. My interest is to see Amidaus stay on top and keep the winning mentality.
“The collective effort of the team is paramount to the ambitions of an individual player.”
The Tema-based side lost grounds after losing 1-0 at home to Berekum Chelsea over the weekend.
