Yahaya Mohammed hints he won't return to Kotoko

Yahaya Mohammed has hinted he may not return to Kotoko

Midfielder Yahaya Mohammed has hinted he will not return to Kotoko when his loan move expires at Amidaus Professionals.

The 25-year-old has electrified the League this season with sublime performances that has left many Kotoko fans wonder why they farmed him out on loan.

His swash-buckling performances has alerted Kotoko coach Mas-ud Draman who has recalled him into his team in January.

But the ex-OGC Nice and Tema Youth intelligent midfielder says he is not desperate to re-join the defending League champions.

“It depends on the management of Amidaus and Kotoko. Amidaus have paid me the money due me for the one-year loan,” Mohammed said

“So I cannot just wake up and pack my bags and go back to Kotoko. They gave me out for a one-year loan and I intend on completing the deal.

“I am not in a rush to go back at all. I want to continue with what I’m doing here and not thinking about going back.

Mohammed is the leading top scorer in the Ghana top-flight league with 8 goals in nine matches.

That is a focused and a sensible player. Keep it up Yahaya. They may come threatening you that “no Kotoko, no Black Stars with Kwasi Appiah” but I know you will laugh them off. Don’t worry we are all watching.

I wil urge Yahaya not to go back to his former team, but focus at where he is now.

  7. Efiewura says:

All those advising Yahya not to return should know that he’s primarily a Kotoko player on LOAN!!! Amidaus CANNOT transfer him without Kotoko’s consent. All of us are not privy to the terms of the loan so lets wait and see. He’s doing well now but ask him why he was not performing whilst playing for Kotoko? or a typical ATTA KOFI?

    • BLOW says:

dont understand some of these football commentators, infact some comments r just absurd, the fact that DIDI wants him doesnt mean automatically mgt is going for him, ofcause thats a mgt decision cos weve not fogotten how this guy disgraced mgt in public for not paying for his mother’s rent @tema,taking care of his extended family’s needs n other of the pitch expenses which wasnt even in the contract agreement,if all other kotoko players were to demand such, how wud the team survive,he is a kotoko player yes,but we shd not b rushing to bring him back just becos he has started scoring goals, believe u me,his injury prone spree wud start n all wud blame kotoko again,so mgt shd wise not to bring him back but sell him outrightly.thanxxxxxx

Yaaya mohammed deserve to be call back to kotoko after the first round. We need him for Africa.

  9. Randy says:

if what GSN is saying is true, then mgt was right in letting him go cos his loyalty is questionable. because he started scoring, he is the best?

  10. henry says:

@Blow,we’d not be deceived by his sterling performance. He’s not trusted player.
