Yahaya Mohammed claims he's regained full fitness

Yahaya Mohammed says he is fit to play for Amidaus Professionals

Yahaya Mohammed has declared himself fully fit to return to action after recovering from a groin injury.

The 25-year-old suffered the setback in December during a Ghana Premier League while playing for his club Amidaus Professionals.

Mohammed, who had been named in Ghana’s provisional Africa Cup of Nations, was forced to miss the tournament in South Africa.

With the league set to resume for the second half of the season this weekend, the versatile midfielder says he is available for selection.

“Now I’m feeling better, started training about three weeks ago and I’m 100 percent fit,” the former OGC Nice player told Joy Sports.

“I will be in action this weekend since I’m strong and fit.

“The expectation now is going to be high considering my performance in the first round of the league but I have a target as well so I will prove myself again I’m ready to start.”

Mohammed was top scorer after the first half of the season with ten goals.

Amidaus Professionals will travel to Kumasi to face Real Tamale United on Saturday.
