Fifa has promised its disciplinary committee will investigate photographs that show several German fans attended their team’s match against Ghana wearing black make-up.

Pictures circulated on social media of smiling Germany fans with blacked up faces wearing T-shirts on which they had felt tipped the names of their opponents.

A Fifa spokeswoman said that any evidence of discrimination would be considered by its disciplinary committee under what she called its zero tolerance rules.

“We always take any evidence or submissions to our disciplinary committee. It is the disciplinary committee that will meet,” she said.

“If they see any grounds they will open proceedings. Then it is up to the disciplinary commission to take the decision.”

During the match, which finished as a 2-2 draw, a German fan with pro-Nazi messages written on his body evaded stewards and invaded the pitch.

He was eventually led away by the Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari.

The European anti-discrimination network Fare had previously submitted a complaint to Fifa over several neo-Nazi banners displayed at matches involving Russia and Croatia.

“If something like a banner is spotted, it will be removed,” the Fifa spokeswoman said. “If something is not spotted and someone has images of it, then if anyone submits evidence of those things then our disciplinary committee will consider it. We clearly have zero tolerance of any form of discrimination.”

I can only hope FIFA will also be concerned about the exhibition match which will come on on the last day of group games between the US and the Germans. This match will be a draw to make sure Germany and the US qualify for the next round.

Emma, Why?? U seem to be lost in translation..just shut up cuz u make no sense… why would Germany play exhibition match with USA if Portugal beats USA Today? Let me explain how things are looking as of right now..
If Portugal beats the Yanks, that is 3 points for Portugal
    3 points for USA.
    4 points for Germany.
4 points for Ghana (win vs portugal)
..Now remember the final group games will likely be played at the same time.
If Germany chooses to draw with USA, it will then go down to goal difference which I believe will ultimately favor us because I don’t see USA scoring a single goal against Portugal.
If Germany chooses to allow USA to beat them, then their digging their own grave because all we would need by then is to beat Portugal by at least 4 goals to nil and we are thru with Yankee.. that’s not something Germany will entertain.. This is serious business and everybody for himself.. as long as Portugal beats Yankee tonight by at least 2 or 3 goals, that will split the group wide open and eliminate any chance of match fixing on final day

This is the reason why Germany will fix the game with USA. First of all Germany is leading the group now. If they draw with USA, They still lead the group and will likely face a lesser team such as either, South Korea, Algeria, and another team i can’t remember. If they play second in the group, they will face a much stronger team such as Belgium depending if Blgium wins Group H. Now! the Germans will ask themselves which team would they rather play in the nock out stage?. Belgium or lesser team. I guess your answer is as good as mine. Also eventhough i didn’t want to believe that the Germans will play to draw with the USA, these scenario i have given above clearly tells me that it can happen. With the connections the USA and German coaches have, there is no way the matche will not ne fix.
