Ghana midfielder Edwin Gyimah missed out on making his competitive debut for Mpumalanga Black Aces on Sunday in the MTN8 tournament due to paperwork lapses.

The administrative pitfall saw him sidelined as his work permit is yet to be finalised and completed.

He had to be withdrawn late alongside another new signing Collins Mbesuma.

Gyimah made a shock move from SuperSport United last week to sign a permanent one-year deal for Clive Baker’s side.

An under-strength Aces team suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs in the first round clash at FNB Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
