English side Wolves are understood to be keeping tabs on Red Star Belgrade defender Lee Addy.

Reports in Serbia claim that the Black Country outfit are keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old Ghana international.

Addy first came to prominence last year when he performed well at the World Cup finals, and it was his displays in South Africa which earned him his move to Belgrade.

Now the left-back is attracting attention from elsewhere in Europe, with Wolves said to be keen after a number of scouting trips.

Reports claim Red Star are looking for at least €3million, having previously rejected an offer from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

No team will pay even €500,000 for this dude. Stop wasting our time cuz he’s not even a regular at Red Star who are seeking to offload him to a lesser team.If not for the Virtus International Black Stars connection, this dude shouldn’t even come near the senior national team cuz he’s not Black Stars material.

    • Basaven says:

is not true Richard this is shear hatred. He is regular player for Redstar, check your facts and stop the leg polling here.

      • Fred Bortey Kyeremeh says:

I wonder what this chap has done wrong to deserve all the ‘useless’ criticisms from some people. He earned his call up to the Black Stars through hard work and not the influences of any agents as being claimed.Don’t forget he got his breakthrough after winning the best defender title in the local league when he played for chelsea. He gave a good account of himself in Angola when he was called upon to replace Eric Addo for GH’s make or break game against Burkina Faso.As a local player he did not disgrace himself in Angola. He formed a very strong partnership with Isaac Vorsah, when both of them were not even regulars for the team.He took his chances and staged a claim to stay in the team.Don’t forget his versatility too, which will make him the preferred choice of most coaches for any team.He may have his own weaknesses as a defender, such as rushed challenges, positional awareness(sometimes) among others,he cannot be judged on a single bad game, such as against Australia in the world cup and perhaps against England in March this year. Coaches will continue to call him into the team because he does what is expected of him as a player when called upon.More so,he offers the technical team more options in terms of his ability to fill every gap that is created in defense apart from perhaps right back which he has not been tested for.Just imagine the injury situations that Ghana encountered in the run up to CAN 2010,what would have being our stand if he was not available? We all have our favourites but I believe the coach’s call ups must not be questioned without us offering a better option.

  2. princeking says:

thanx alot richard u cldnt have said it so rite. Addy at 21 is like jon mensah at 28 hey ghana, hmm well he shld develop with all the opportunities giving him bcos warming benches and playing once in a while in a team like red star mostly as sub is not good enough. I’m impressed with Badu’s improvement since he has taking the chance giving him and made most of it thats the way to go

  3. powers says:

@prince and richard how old do u guys thing Agyeman badu is?..why do ghanaians like talking too much why..is it paining you that wolves is interested in addy?…

  4. Barackat says:

Gud luck to Addy, but seriously speaking this dude lacks timing on attackers of opposing teams,he often comes with rush tackles and always study him when he plays for the stars,he appears a bundle of nerves, throws his arms abt and could one day course a painful penalty to this nation.I wonder why players like boye,Akaminko and K,Asare would seat on the bench for this dude.May be he will gain some experience when sign on by Epl club.

  5. danny alvez says:

hahaha…this people cant be serious, and i dont believe the story anyway,i think they only want to publish something about lee addy.this guy cant play in the epl and wolves will never buy him.

  6. Kwalife says:

Lee would be great in the EPL!!!!

  7. keith from germany says:

great say fred kyeremeh.these guys like sabacious dont like him.its true he didnt perform well in that england game but u guys cant judge him just on one game.remember recently against nigeria he did very well at the left back.
he has used his opprtunity becuz he came in as a local player n as a local player u dont have things easy looking at the crop of foreign based players in the stars set up.i quite remember in his first major tournament for ghana in angola in our game against burkina faso,he replaced the shaky eric addo by putting up a solid performance.in our game against angola he was a very bit tensed which is normal to everyplayer but still yet he overcame his nerves n was once again solid.
u guys shouldnt forget that lee addy wasnt at that time exposed to top flight football but he did what he could n he did it well.
and also playing at the worldcup is not a easy thing to do for a local player from ghana.lee addy did his part very welln that is the reason why he will always be called in the blackstars becuz he derserves it.
sabacious werent u the one who said that only players playing regularly for their clubs merit a place in the stars set up?my question to u is,isnt lee addy playing regular football to merit his place in the stars set up?
WITH ALL DUE RESPECT SOME OF U SHOULD THINK HARDLY BEFORE COMMENTING.

  8. JKQ says:

He is a very good centre half but God almighty, keep him away from the full back position! he is so unatural there its unreal!
