GHANASoccernet.com can reveal that TP Mazembe star midfielder Solomon Asante picked up a knee injury during Ghana’s 3-1 win over Togo on Wednesday in a final 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Asante was handed a starting and excelled as the Black Stars sealed qualification to next year’s tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

Christian Atsu replaced the dribbling wizard after 78 minutes after Ghana had scored all three goals.

He will undergo further treatment at his club side after being assessed by the Ghana medical team.

Asante is in line to make his second Africa Cup of Nations appearance after debuting at the last tournament in South Africa.
