Hearts winger Winful Cobbinah has challenged his colleagues to hold their nerves in the final stretch of the Ghanaian Premier League to grab Champions League football next season.Ã
The Accra side dropped to third on the table after losing 2-1 at home to Heart of Lions in their last Premier League encounter.
Hearts have lost the spark that made them giants on the continent few years ago and are struggling to rediscover their form.
Many off-the-field incidents have robbed them of the chance to wrestle the Premier League crown from rivals Kotoko as they keep playing catch-ups.
With six games to end the season, Cobbinah has urged his team-mates to keep their eyes on the ball.
ââ¬ÅWe donââ¬â¢t have to be dispirited because the battle is far from over,â⬠he said
ââ¬ÅWe need to keep believing that we can grab a Champions League spot.
ââ¬ÅThat is where the focus should be because itââ¬â¢s obvious winning Premier League title will be extremely difficult.
ââ¬ÅI am confident we can reach that particular target.
Hearts trails Kotoko by 12 points and travel to the Golden City Park to face Berekum Chelsea in their next Premier League game.
