Whether we play in Kumasi or Accra we will beat Ghana - Zambia coach fires again

Zambia coach Herve Renard says it does not matter whether the September 6 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifier against Ghana is being played in Kumasi or Accra, - the Chipolopolo will beat the Black Stars.

The Frenchman says the objective for the Ghanaian team will still be to win regardless of the venue but noted that Zambia would play Ghana anywhere without being intimidated.

“You know I was in Ghana, there is a difference between Accra and Kumasi, but it is the same picture, the pressure is the same,” he said.

“Even if you are playing in Accra or Kumasi the pressure will be same as in any game of football.”

He said he was geared for the pressure that will come with the high profile match which Zambia must win to qualify to the knockout stage of the qualifiers.

“We like pressure and you know pressure is good because if there is no pressure it is not football but madala,” he said.

“But we will be in Kumasi to play our last game to reach the last stage of qualification, we can believe and all the Zambians and determination will be very high.”

He said, “We will fight up to the last second and I have a lot of confidence in this squad to achieve something special even if it won’t be easy.”

He reserved respect for the man in the hot seat in Ghana who they worked together as assistants to Claude Le Roy in 2007-08.
