West Ham United have offered Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan a mouth-watering deal worth $165,000 a week to help them avoid relegation from the English top-flight.

The 28-year-old, who is the captain of the Ghana World Cup team, is in blistering form in the UAE and Sam Allardyce want the attacker to make a return to the Premier League to boost their chances of beating the drop.

According to The Sun, Hammers boss Allardyce wants the Ghanaian on a six month loan from United Arab Emirates club Al Ain.

However, it is not certain if the deal is enough to prise him away from the Al Ain who are ready to offer the world to Gyan to keep him in the UAE.

He is wanted as cover for the injured £19 million hitman Andy Carroll.

Ex-Sunderland forward Gyan scored 10 goals in 34 games in his two seasons on Wearside.

West Ham currently lie 17th in the Premier League.

Gyan has made history in the UAE top-flight by being the first person in the country's football history to reach the 70 goal mark.

He has achieved this massive feat in just two seasons.
