Maxwell Boadu Acosty scored for Fiorentina's Primavera against Genoa on Thursday

By Akyereko Frimpong-Manson

West Bromwich Albion target Maxwell Boadu Acosty underlined his impressive goal scoring form for Fiorentina’s Primavera by scoring in Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Genoa.

The 20-year-old powered home a ferocious drive to open the scoring for Fiorentina on the 79th minute after being played through by Senegalese youngster Babacar Khouma in a keenly contested game at Genoa.

This was his sixth gola in four matches for the La Viola reserve side.

Acosty’s form is drawing more attention from West Brom manager Roy Hodgson who sent scouts to monitor him in Italy.

He won the Italian Youth Super Cup for Fiorentina with an injury time goal in a 3-2 win over AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico early this month.
