Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan marked his debut for Finnish top-flight side HJK Helsinki on Friday by coming off the bench to play in their 2-2 stalemate with KuPSia.

The 28-year-old, spotting the number 20 jersey, climbed off the bench in the 58th minute to replace Teemu Tainio at the Sonera Stadium.

Before Annan's entry, HJK had fallen behind to a Juha Hakola 17th minute strike but Annan's introduction brought stability in the middle, as he gagged the spaces, inspiring HJK's attackers to storm forward in freedom.

HJK equalised and took the lead before the visitors pecked the scoring the once more.

The former Schalke 04 midfielder trained for the first time with Mika Lehkosuo's men on Thursday and was handed his debut two days later.

While Annan had to come off the bench to mark his debut for the Europa League campaigners, former Asante Kotoko full back Gideon Baah was booked in the 91st minute and lasted the entire duration of the game.
