Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp impresses in Leicester City's defeat at Chelsea

Black Stars defender Jeffrey Schlupp played full-throttle for Leicester City in their 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the English Premier League.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson deployed him as a left-winger and he showed glimpses of brilliance particularly in the first half which ended goalless.

But Schlupp and his teammates were undone after the interval when Chelsea decided to up the ante.

Mourinho’s decision to push his full-backs forward after the interval paid dividends, with Branislav Ivanovic creating a scruffy 63rd-minute goal for Costa to break the deadlock.

It continued the flying start to his Chelsea career for the big-money arrival from Atletico Madrid and provided Mourinho with a welcome display of the cutting edge that Chelsea lacked in their push for Premier League honours last season.

Eden Hazard once again showed his class with a wonderful solo effort to seal the points, netting the second with 13 minutes left to seal the points.

Say it again Rokavilla! I watched both games involving Schlupp and Rahman and i tell what, both players were superb. Am suprised none made the cut for the WC. and AA was crying for a left back. This clearly shows how incompetent AA is. A good coach is supposed to smothen the rough edges of a player and make him a better one, but doesn’t sit down and wait for a ready-made player. Where are they going to come from, the Moon….?
And they are playing in the German Bundesliga and the English Premier League for that matter. Oh! AA, u lack forsight.
With these two players together with Massawudu Alhassan of Udinese, no serious coach will complain of lack of left full backs. Opare and Afful can now concentrate on the right full back duties. Kwesi Appiah be serious if u really want to coach the Black Stars!!
