Ghana’s Jordan Ayew became an instant twitter phenomenon on Wednesday night after he clashed with David Beckham during a match between Olympique Marseille and Paris St Germain.

Twitter-sphere went off the hook as an angry Ayew confronted renowned footballer, Beckham, who was making his first start after moving to PSG in January.

An angry Ayew aggressively confronted Beckham and seemed ready to square up with his more famous opponent, with the English star slipping and falling in the melee.

An altercation was only avoided after Ayew’s teammates held him back.

The eight-second affair has since been trending on twitter.

In the excitement, a twitter trend, #JordanAyewFacts has been set and is trending across much of the world.

The tweets range from excitement to bewilderment, with most tweeters accusing the Ghanaian of not respecting elders.

Beckham is on a one season charitable stint at the Parisian club.

The English football star has pledged to give whatever money he makes at his new club to charity.

Always fighting on the pitch. Least said about it the better. Grow up and show some respect.

  2. Massa says:

These Ayew boys are treading on a dangerous line of pride. He fell on Beckham and nearly punched him in the face but Beckham was cool.Ayew rather got up in a fighting mood. Well those that are praising them instead of help shape them should be careful not to push them into disaster. Spare the rod and spoil the child……

  3. texas says:

hummmmm…is this what we want for the Black Stars? all we need is goalssssssssssss not fightinggggg on the pitch!

  4. Yaw says:

This is all propaganda. We all know that Saani Daara owns Ghana soccernet. All the news about the Ayews these days on this website will be aimed at painting them black. That’s not the best way to deal with the situation. Let’s remember that we need a united team to be able to make any progress.

  5. PASTOR BRENTO says:

shut up ghanaians and stop hating on the AYEW’s. They can do what they choose in the game of soccer. WHY U GHANAINS HATE YOUR OWN PEOPLE WHO DONT WANNNA PLAY AGAIN FOR THAT BULL-LEG CALLED BLACK STARS.

Anyway I’m not surprise u are displaying ur PHD (pull him down) venoms at all b’cos its on record that U, AA & Fred crentsil hav vowed to frustrate this boys until they retire from National duty. U hate this boys to the extent of forming campaign team with most of the Media houses just to Demonise them with all sought of Lies & Slanders.
Now u guys hav gotten what u wanted… Leave this boys alone to trade their God given talent in peace. The animadvert guys like u, Charles Osei Esibe, Joe Debra, Kwame Oware, Apatey, Alan Smith (ASEMPA radio), Hot Fm Sports crew and etc are showing is pure Envy & Hate For Abedi Pele.
Guys like Dan Kweku Yeboah who uncoveres ur Evil mind & vendetta against this boys has suddenly become ur Target.

U guys should leave this Ayew family alone.Jelousy will kill some of our ungreatfull Ghanaians.BONGA FISHES.who de f””k is Berckham

  12. kantoose says:

so in a game of over 90mins, a 12 seconds tiny confrontation between jordan and beckham is what GSN wants to highlight? if u look u will find! in other words if u go looking for bad traits in people you will find bad traits. if u go lookin for good traits u will find gud traits.

  13. kantoose says:

we complain that Jordan was playing too soft but now he has gained sum muscle and becoming physical and we are still criticising. oh no. look at wakaso and jordan. who is more physical. how many cards per season does wakaso get compared to the few jo ayew gets

  14. Massa says:

Playing hard and fighting are two different things. If you watch the video you will see that he play hard on Beckham and after that went in for a confrontation. Why should it be so? Listen some people can play more harder than Jordan and trust me somebody can end his career through some of these things. He’s got to be careful.

  15. mojahadine says:

What is this guy Ayew’s beef with Beckham. Looks as if he is doing that just to get in the news.

  16. Paul says:

Ghana is very lucky these boys hv retired else they would crush the whole black stars set up. Thank u God.

  17. selfmade says:

He is a fine player but this attitude ll one day ruined him!! A young fine upcoming footballer needs to be refined and discipline but it seems this chap has no self control and if he thinks talent alone can take him to the zenith of world football then he is lying to himself because there are millions of wasted football talents all over the world right from zanzibar to Azerbaijan, rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires, kinshasha to malabo, upper west to kintampo because of lack of discipline!!! Son,take your time to mature,be focused, have self discipline and control and i can see a talented boy maturing into a legend!! Don’t add to the wasted ghanaian talents who could be great but wasted their talents thru what u have started doing because a talent can take u to but a mile whiles discpline is the life itself!!! Remember a good name is better than………… u just a kid so son learn to behave and respect pple because is just by the grace that u have reached where u are not because u better than anyone!!! Some have more better talent than u bit still remains humble!! Listen kid,be humble is the only way to the top!!! Viva the revolutionciooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

  18. thank God we are nt zambians says:

u see dis fools wil do evrytin to paint da ayews black,we shudnt fall dis soccernet stupidity cos dis media men are da ones destroyin da blackstars.wen did dis ayew beckam case happen? why is soccernet now posting it?tink Ghanaians
