Posted On Monday, 1st August 2011

Mubarak Wakaso gave his first team chances a boost by scoring

Ghana youth winger Wakaso Mubarak scored a cracker for Spanish side Villarreal in a 3-1 pre-season triumph over Italian giants Lazio on Sunday.

The 21-year-old sealed the victory for the Yellow Submarines in the 74th minute just a little over ten minutes after coming on from the bench.

The former AshGold player fired a thunderbolt strike from 30-yards to score his first   Villarreal senior team goal in style.

Giuseppe Rossi opened the scoring from an acute angle low drive on 14 minutes before Cani doubled it up for Juan Carlos Garrido men five minutes later.

Lazio halved the deficit just a minute to recess.

However, it was the Ghana U23 winger who put the game firmly behind the Italians.
