Mubarak Wakaso scores his first Spanish La Liga goal on Saturday night

Ghana youth Mubarak Wakaso marked his Spanish La Liga debut for Espanyol by scoring the consolation in their 2-1 reverse at Real Mallorca on Saturday night.

The 22-year-old brought the Barcelona-based side level just four minutes after Tomer Hemed had put Mallorca ahead.

He controlled a diagonal pass from Cristian Gomez before rifling a powerful effort which came off Mallorca goalkeeper Dudu Aouate on six minutes to pull even for the visitors.

It was his first goal in the Spanish top-flight after featuring for relegated Villarreal the last two seasons.

Wakaso who joined Espanyol from relegated Villarreal was replaced in the 69th minute mark by Alfonso.
