West African Football Academy starlet Ashimeru Majeed has become the newest youngster to score in the Ghana Premier League.

GHPL Stats - a Twitter handle, keeping facts and statistics on the Ghana Premier League, has revealed.

Majeed has fallen third to Heart of Lions' Isaac Twum and Asante Kotoko's Dauda Mohammed who had both earlier scored in different games.

He scored his goal aged at 17 years, 138 days but he is not the youngest to have scored as Kotoko's Dauda holds the record of being the most youngest as he scored for the Porcupine Warriors aged 16 335 days while Heart of Lions' Isaac Twum, 16 years 338 days, had also scored.

The attacking midfielder scored for WAFA at the Sogakope Park in mid-week as they posted a 3-1 win over New Edubiase United in the Ghana Premier League.

His feat came on a brilliant scale when he finished off a rehearsed move from midfield.
