Vitoria Guimaraes are jubilating over David Addyââ¬â¢s exclusion from the Ghana squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 22-year-old was hoping to make his first Nations Cup appearance following an impressive debut season with the Portuguese club.
But the left-back was dealt a major blow when he was left out of the Black Starsââ¬â¢ provisional 26-man squad for the tournament that kicks off on January 19 in South Africa.
News of Addyââ¬â¢s snub has been flamboyantly reported on Vitoriaââ¬â¢s official website with coach à Rui Vitoria overjoyed by ââ¬Ëhis good luckââ¬â¢.
The ex FC Porto player has become an integral part of the side since arriving on a permanent deal at the beginning of the season.
Vitoriaââ¬â¢s joy is even more evident with the knowledge El-Arbi Hilal Soudani and Issam El Adoua are likely to join the Algeria and Morocco national teams respectively for the tournament.
