Hearts of Oak coach CK Akunnor refuses to criticize the quality of signings made during the off-season.

Supporters of the club were incensed after witnessing their side slump to their second straight defeat to All Stars on Wednesday.

Hearts’ disjointed play at times and failure to create enough goalscoring opportunities against the team from Wa was very painful to watch especially if you are a Phobian fan.

This has led to serious questions being asked about the quality of recruitment made despite the club boasting of immense cash injection following the floatation of shares.

Some of the players paraded by Hearts in the defeat to All Stars’ were deemed by many at the Accra Sports Stadium as not ‘Hearts of Oak material’ – begging the question of the quality of signings made.

But Akunnor chose not to talk about the issue when raised at the post-match press briefing on Wednesday.

“To be honest with you if we go there, there will be a lot of issues,” he said.

“I don’t want to talk about that. I said I will not talk about it.

“We lost a match today and I am disappointed, we will go back and do our homework well.”

Hearts brought in the likes of Gilbert Fiamenyo (who is yet to kick a ball this term due to injury), Seth Owusu, Richard Addai, and Emmanuel Ansong as the few established Premier League players in the off-season.
