Ghana star Kwadwo Asamoah scored a sensational first-half  screamer to hand Juventus a slender 1-0 win over Fiorentina in the Italian Serie A on Sunday afternoon.

The 25-year-old won the game for Antonio Conte’s men at the Juventus Arena in the 42nd minute when he artfully employed a measure of skill inside the Fiorentina box before powering home a beautiful drive.

Asamoah’s striker has now ensured The Old Ladies open a 14 point lead at the top of the table.

With Carlos Tevez, Arturo Vidal and Fernando Llorente all firing blank in the game, Asamoah carried the game on his shoulders and scored the match-winner three minutes before half-time for Juve.

The Black Stars midfielder confidently dashed into the box with four defenders around him after collecting a Girgio Chiellini pass and wonderfully flicked the ball with a back-heel to dislodge all four defence men before aiming for the top root corner of the net with Fiorentina keeper Neto left watching in admiration as the ball rifled through his net.

Asamoah has hit a rich vein of form for Juventus since the start of the season and has scored important goals (three in the league) to aid their title campaign.

Many ghanain players are scoring goals and it very good for our World Cup campaign,
Ghana is bless with great players with great clubs unlike our African brothers with players in European low leagues and division two, this shows that African will be expecting ghana to do well in Brazil just as like in South Africa …

Ghana will take Africa high again

The main reason why the most hated Africans by other fellow Africans are Ghanaians. This is so because the average Ghanaian is pompous, arrogant, unnecessarily proud, senselessly loquacious and seeks to biff his fellow black when he is not even thinking any evil against the ghanaian. And they are racist!21 guns is the scoring of a goal by any of your compatriot an indication of his being a better footballer than others?21 wet and silent guns, will 1 goal scored by a Ghanaian player make one to conclude that all other African rep at the WC will be outshined by the b/s?.I begin to see why b/s are underachieving in competitions to the extent that you guys have remained trophy less for 4 decades now;pride!According to the Holy Book of Life, the Bible, pride goes before a fall and God resist the proud but give grace to the humble.I see the trophy less trend continuing until the ghanaian ball fans becomes humble.I wish you what you wished others!

Ao…if only akwasi appiah will know how to deploy this guy by watching most of our players play! But he won’t —he would rather watch the local league –in the name of getting talents for the national team when we all know that that league is dead …and that he should focus on those he intends to unleash at the world cup not time for experimentation.

akwasi appiah….u better progress out of the group o…else u are finished! the squad ghana possesses can destroy any team…unless a useless coach is in charge. GFA, get akwasi help…not at the expense of the taxpayer…but get him help…we all saw it in the Montenegro game –the guy is clueless!

  3. DOGO says:

Aooo K.Asamoah wo be ku me. Whaaat!! what a classic goal. Keept up bro..

  4. Stranger Danger says:

    OH! Kill em!

  5. Kwaps says:

Akwasi Appiah is just a normal coach but not a manager. He doesn’t see Kwadwo Asamoah’s potentials…..

  6. zambian heart says:

@21guns or whatever u call yourself oh pls shut dah hell up, your so called future star (dominick adiyiah) can’t even pass a trial in a mediocal league like the swedish league, you then open your stinky gutter, shit hole ghana mouth and say you black pigs are blessed with talents unlike your african brothers, you should be ashamed of yourself you skunky pig. No good club wanna sign a gaynian!!

    • texas says:

@zambian heart: so you big mouthed zombies from the zomia, the zombie land still come here to make noise? tell us one zombie land player that plays in a top club anywhere in the world? your big zombie brother kalusha buwalya or what ever could only manage to play in Mexico!

  7. keith from germany says:

Yeah great goal but we all hope he replicates his club form into the national team because you and i know that his performances for national are below par.
he is definately good but his performance for the blackstars must improve.
kwesi appiah must kno how to use this guy.
he is very effective in the middle i will pair him with kpb in the middle and bench essien because essien has lost sharpness and his aggresivesness.

    • Africanus says:

You took the words out of my mouth. If only Appiah can figure out how best to use Kwadwo to get the maximum out of him.

      • maka says:

….oh guys, are u people not missing it here? he plays well at Juve but in black stars jersey—simply because he is being under utilized…not being played in his best position! So who do u blame—the player? Please—-u r pointing the finger at the wrong person guys —-!

Try playing Lionel MESSI anywhere other than the front line and see what happens! In other wprds, no matter how good a player is, u can’t play him anywhere and expect marvelous results –and akwasi appiah must learn to deploy players in positions where they are deadliest! but we all know he is clueless and can’t….cos he can’t read games well.

Word for everyone to think about: “kwadwo asamoah is a utility player, he can play anywhere on the field” –by coach akwasi appiah…black stars coach.

Oh really, coach…u think so? that shows u don’t know what u are talking about…cos even the so called utility players can’t play anywhere! simply better learn fast and deploy the guys i their best spots—and get a formation of play, cos we don;t know what style u play now–its like kick and follow soccer…no flow, no formula!

Oh Ghana….wonderful players…clueless coach —where will it end with Portugal USA and Germany? If we are not careful….it will be 3 and out—-and we better sit up about our coach else we throw millions of dollars away to come home early with nothing. sometimes…if players dont perform…just look carefully a the coach!..not the player!

        beats me…

  8. spellBOUND says:

wooow, what skill. KASA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we need this at the sundial..

  9. EA1us says:

A hillbilly is here using a zambian identity, but we’ll know he’s one of the THIEVES. A Zambian can spell ‘mediocre’ not “mediocal.” You chose a CRIME [stealing] instead of a BOOK!!!

  10. EA1us says:

    K. Asamoah…..always my favorite!!!

  11. Super CHIKENS says:

That 419 ape who is calling himself Zambia is a nigerian from 419 land ,Nigeria will continue to parad division 2 players ,super CHIKENS of Nigeria ,your mikel obi is at the bench warming it comfortable like noo monkey business lol

  12. keith from germany says:

Yeah africanus.because kwadwo his got two faces one for juventus and the other one for ghana.
I will love to see the juventus kwadwo asamoah because he perform better than the blackstars asamoah.
Bro africanus i have to praise u guys at africaplays.com for your high level of sensibilit.

  13. keith from germany says:

Sensibilty and maturity.u guys realy make that website very interesting to read.

  14. 21guns says:

@Keith, don’t you think pairing him and ayew and pairing gyan and boating will do the magic than him and kpb?

  15. 21guns says:

Keith you can’t do nothing about the immaturity in here, just ignore em

E fia biaa mensah wuom, so you might have crazy people among us

  16. smokey says:

Yes true say Keith better to play him from deep Essien is past it keeps over running the ball and ends up with needless bookings due to thinking something he’s not Rabiu a much safer option in that position

  17. Maxwell Johnson says:

And yet some clueless folks on this blog will be clamoring for him to be played @ LB, I sometimes wonder if some of you fellas watch football at all or is it that you started following the game not long ago. Playing KASA @ LB is purely a waste of quality, this is a world class material that you’re talking about. He’s a deep lying play maker, his natural position is CM (No.8 or sometimes No.6) that’s where you can get the best outta him. The fact that he’s been played as a Left/Left-wing back @ Juventus doesn’t mean he should be played @ the same position in the national colours.

  22. real sabacious says:

Thank God that most of you guys are seeing what some of having complaining for ages, I.e how clueless Akwasi Appiah is! A coach who can’t varies his tactics acaccording to the players at his disposal. I’m not a coach but I don’t need a phd in coaching to figure out that , Ghana as a team is good in midfield(both offensive and defensive), ok in attack(Gyan, warris Yeadom and Jordan) ,ok in the central defence(Akaminko, Boye,Jonathan but bad in left and right full back. And this where I have a problem with Akwasi Appiah, Dede, k.Asamoah, kpb and Sulley can play the nr.6,7,8,10 and 11 so what do you do as a coach knowing that you have a problem with ur right full back and essien who excelled in that position with Madrid? I keep saying that wakaso is the best person to solve the problematic left full back position .The only he need to be advised his his tackles, with this problem been addressed. Trust Ghana. as a team can match any team in brasil but this clueless coach will turn a blind side to the problem and take Afful and Inkoom as right full back knowing that these guys are below average. Shift essien to the right back and opare can deputise him, wakaso to the left full back and either Rahman or David addy can deputise him. This is simple common sense! !!!!!!

  23. sharky says:

Personally I think Jordan and Harrison Afful should be axed from the squad…

  24. Kwabena says:

How can you keep such a player (kwadwo Asamoah) as your holding midfielder in a match? For over two years you have not been able to solve the problem of the lateral defense. The lateral defense of Nkoom, Opare and Harrison Afful are a bomb waiting to explode. I am still confused why AA continues to use these same guys despite the fact that they proved not to be ready to fill that gap. I think is about time AA tries Akaminko, Sumaila, Ainooson, Nuru Sulley or Kwabena Adusei on the lateral defense for me before we even meet the Netherlands.
In fact a 4-3-3 on attack made up of two good lateral defenses since the central defense role appears to be solved with four or more possible roles such as Boye-Vorsah, Boye-Akaminko, Boye-Jonathan and Akaminko-Somaila. May be we need to try Jonathan Mensah-Akaminko as well as using some of the above central defense from CHAN at our lateral defense to see if that long lasting problem can be solved. I must say very soon some of us are going to soon start using very harsh words on AA concerning this problem of lateral defense because he does not seem to get solution neither does he try our suggestion of using some of our central defenders in these positions.

.Dede Ayew .A. Gyan . Majeed

    .Kwadwo Asamoah .Rabiu Mohamed KP.Boateng

_____? Jerry Akaminko John Boye ________?

    Kwaresey

4-4-3 with Rabiu Playing the Role of a holding Midfield and switching of positions between Waris, KPB and Gyan with this formation changing to 4-5-1 anytime the BS would have to defend. In fact a combination of Gyan, Waris and Dede Ayew can put pressure in any defense to make mistakes in the world because this is a blend of young and experience and also midfield of Rabiu, Kwadwo Asamoah, KPB, Dede and Waris can neutralize any midfield with right execution from these players. Well Essien and Muntari can always start from the bench when the tempo of the game goes down. Those I expect to up their game are Mubarak Wakaso and Christian Atsu. Atsu these days is becoming wasteful. Also one player AA should never make a mistake in sending to Brazil is Jordan Ayew due to his temperament. I think he should be allowed to grow. He has been doing this in France and is gradually bringing it into the BS and the earlier he is stopped the better.
