In-form Ghanaian striker Antwi brutally attacked in Egypt by players of opposing team after his RED CARD

Ismaili's Ghanaian striker John Antwi was sent off before being brutally attacked by players of Haras El-Hodoud in the Egyptian top-flight on Monday.

The nervy match in Alexandria between Hodoud and Ismaily witnessed four red cards as the Dervishes failed to overcome their eight-man opponents, who held them to a goalless stalemate.

Hodoud's Mahmoud Alaa, Ali Mohab and Islam Ramadan all saw red as Ismaily's Ghanaian marksman John Antwi received his marching orders after an off-the-pitch scuffle with Hodoud's Ahmed Sabry.

Sabry wickedly hacked down the in-form Ghanaian attacker who responded by thrashing the opponent with some punches for the crude attempt to injure him.

Players of Hadoud joined in by giving the Ghanaian some hiding before he was whisked away thanks to a red card from the referee.

The draw did not help Ismaily much, though, as they slipped to third place on 30 points, two clear of Zamalek, who take on Beni Suef Telephones later in the day.
