Ghana striker David Accam says he will need a bit more time to settle in at Chicago Fire as he started training with his new club on Saturday.
The 24-year-old linked up with his new teammates in Portland for the first time since completing his move from Swedish club Helsingborg.
Accamââ¬â¢s arrival at Fire was delayed due to his involvement at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations where he only made a cameo appearance in Ghanaââ¬â¢s silver-winning feat in Equatorial Guinea.
The young striker has however joined his club in training on Saturday as they continue with their pre-season preparations in Portland.
The former Right to Dream Academy trainee however admits he will need a bit more time to settle in.
ââ¬ÅSo far itââ¬â¢s really good, most of the guys are fantastic, I feel welcomed,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅIt is good to start training with the team and to know the guys but it will take one or two sessions for me to know the atmosphere.
ââ¬ÅIn the African Cup, I did not play much but it was a good experience for me so I am happy to be here and also use this opportunity as a great experience.ââ¬
