CK Akunnor feeling the pressure at Hearts

By Ameenu Shardow

Coach CK Akunnor admits he is under immense pressure at Hearts of Oak following the shocking defeat to All Stars on Wednesday.

The former Ghana captain presided over the Phobians’ second straight loss this season against the team from Wa at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hearts were undone by two second half goals from Joshua Otoo and Hafiz Adams despite managing a consolation through an Osei Bonsu spot kick.

The loss before the home fans on Wednesday is just off the heels of another disappointing result against Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday.

Hearts poor run has angered majority of the fans who are already calling for the head of the ex XI Wise Academy coach.

Akunnor however in admitting to the pressure at the Premier League giants concedes a lot of work needs to be done to improve the side.

“What do you think? There is always pressure even if we had won today, last week we lost so the pressure will always be there,” he said in his post-match reaction.

“It is how you manage it. It’s not looking good at all, I agree with you.

“But we have to work very hard. I am disappointed with this result.

“I don’t think the boys played badly in terms of play but we failed to create enough and did not shoot from behind as Wa All Stars did.

“We need to go back to the table and discuss this.”

The Phobians are away in their next game against in-form Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.

C.K your 433 formation is not working just learn to vary your tactics. if the midfield is conjested use the wings. any good coach knows how to vary his tactics when the going gets tough. you have yet to travel outside Accra and already you have won only one out of four matches. What a coach!

I think CK is not the best choice for a big team like hearts.Hearts has quality players now.The Management should consider sacking him because he is tactically bad.
