Ghanaian duo of Jordan and Andre Ayew were in action on Saturday as Porto saw off Marseille 3-0 in a friendly as they continue their pre-season preparations.

Goals from Marat Izmaylov, Jackson Martinez and Juan Iturbe secured victory for the Portuguese champions, while the French club had left-back Jeremy Morel sent off.

The two clubs, both preparing for a season in which they will compete in the Champions League, met in the friendly competition that also includes Saint-Etienne, Wolfsburg and Sion.

Andre Ayew steered an early effort wide from close range for Elie Baup's men, but it was Porto who broke the deadlock, Izmaylov opening the scoring with a firm header.

Porto's position was strengthened even further when Morel saw red for a poor challenge on Jorge Fucile in the closing stages of the first half.

Still Baup's men continued to threaten and Benoit Cheyrou almost levelled matters on the stroke of half-time but Helton Arruda was equal to his powerful strike.

Porto made full use of their numerical advantage after the interval, adding two more goals.

Martinez doubled their lead and Iturbe made sure of the win with an excellent long-range strike in the last 15 minutes.

Jordan Ayew was impressive with his pace and ability to set up opportunities for his team-mates.
