Experienced Ghanaian coach Emmanuel Kwasi Afranie does not 'expect' too many surprises in Ghana's squad for the 2015 AFCON.

Ghana's Israeli gaffer Avram Grant is set to announce a preliminary 26-man squad for the 2015 AFCON.

Afranie who has handled the Black Stars on different occasions  does not expect any major changes to the team that played in the qualifiers for Ghana.

"When they (the current members of the Black Stars) come to Ghana, do they do well in the team? They are the boys we should rely on for the future of the team, so I don’t expect most of them to be dropped," he told Accra-based Starr FM.

Though Afranie won't expect many new names, players have Feyenoord star Elvis Manu, Enock Adu Kofi, Frank Acheampong, Daniel Amartey and Bernard Mensah of Vitoria Guimaeris have distinguished themselves in Europe.

With striker John Antwi hitting top-form in Egypt for Ismaily.

Anderlecht's Frank Acheampong is capped once at senior level.

Grant, who is expected to release his squad before the January 7th CAF deadline, is currently in London drafting the Black Stars pre-tournament training programme.

The Ghana FA's Executive Committee has met over the list.
