Ex-Ghana international George Owu is tipping Fatau Dauda to respond positively when given the opportunity to man post against Mali.

The AshGold shot-stopper is yet to taste action for the national team since an erratic performance against Uganda during the 2015 AFCON qualifiers in Kumasi.

Dauda has since fallen under the pecking order to Stephen Adams and now to Spain based Razak Braimah.

The former Orlando Pirates and Chippa United man is however favorite to return to the post on Tuesday against Mali and Owu is tipping him for a big response.

“Fatau Dauda is an experienced goalkeeper and his absence from post will keep him on his toes,” The Hasaacas man told Citi FM

“His reflexes might not be as sharp as they should have been but I am certain that he will respond in a good way when given the opportunity.”

Ghana fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Senegal but will have the opportunity to respond against Mali on Tuesday evening.
