Berekum Chelsea coach Hans Van der Pluijm to be appointed technical director

Dutchman Hans Van der Pluijm will be re-assigned as technical director of Ghanaian side Berekum Chelsea, MTNFootball can confirm.

“He will be appointed as technical director but a new coach will be named soon,” a source told MTNFootball.com

Pluijm led the 2011 Ghanaian champions in their debut CAF Champions League campaign where they failed to progress from the Group stage.

Berekum Chelsea recorded two wins, three draws and one defeat to finish in third place behind Al Ahly and TP Mazembe in Group B.

Pluijm has coached Heart of Lions and Ashanti Gold in the Ghana Premier League.

He also has international experience after handling Ethiopian side Saint George.

THE BLACK STARS REALLY NEEDS THIS MAN ON THE BENCH!HE IS DAMNED GOOD§

    • Randolph says:

I cannot agree with you more. There is something about this man that Black Stars need. He is an excellent coach, even drawing with Mazembe in their backyard and beaten them without his top players is unbelievable.
The mistake we made with current Zambian (Renard) should not be repeated. Adding him to our bench will be a wisest decision. Thank you bawah for your fore-sight.

  2. Jesse says:

Does Nyatakyi have any idea how good this has been?
I hope he continue to stay in Ghana to perfect our boys. He is a very serious coach who knows and understands the game. It’s inexperience that cost the BC, the coach was fantastic.

  3. Mojahadine says:

The guy is married to a Ghanaian woman with kids born of her. He has been in Ghana for over 20years. He is far better than Akwesi Appiah. In actual fact this guy is a Ghanaian at heart. The B/S need his expertise in their technical team.
