USA steamroller Landon Donovan claims his American team have the necessary confidence and quality to progress from Group G at the 2014 World Cup.

Jurgen Klinsmann's men are wrapping up a week-and-a-half training camp in the World Cup's host country as they seek to build a formidable side to face a more tradition countries at the tournament next June.

And, Donovan, who has gained enormous experience after playing in the English Premier League and German Bundesliga, believes they have the requisite confidence and ability to excel.

''I think the experience that we have now far exceeds the experience that we ever had with any team, and that lines up to give us a real chance,'' Donovan said Thursday.

''We are confident in how we play. We are confident in what we do. Our guys have had enough experiences against all of these players, against teams like Ghana, Portugal, Germany. ... We feel confident that we can get results against them, and that's a nice feeling going into a World Cup.''

The US open their campaign against Ghana in the group.
