Ghanaian communities from two states will play a charity football match on 2 July to raise money to send free educational resources and shoes to needy children back home and Africa.

The match to be played at Odenton, Maryland is being organized by US-based Walk2Learn International.

Community teams Bosingwa FC and Baltimore will play in the maiden charity event.

Founder of Walk2 Learn International Kwame Boakye Gyan says their primary aim for organizing such event is to help lessen the financial burden of needy schools and families.

"Our primary objective is to raise some money to help these kids and schools. At least, a little donation from Walk2Learn will help lessen the huge financial burden of these schools and families."
