Midfielder Uriah Asante has expressed satisfaction at his progress so far in the Tunisian top-flight.

The 19 year old scored in the 26th minute for Etoile du Sahel in their 5-1 drubbing of ES Hammam-Sousse on Sunday.

"It is a well begun season having scored three goals in three games to the start of the season," Asante told Radio Gold.

"Hard work really pays and I believe Ghanaian players are capable of playing everywhere in the world contrary to the notion that the Tunisian league is unfriendly to Ghanaian players."

Asante joined the Sousse based club from second-tier side Pure Joy FC after the expiration of his two year loan deal at Hearts of Oak.

Etoile Sportive du Sahel occupy the top of Group B with seven points after winning two games and drawing one.
