Controversial football administrator Takyi Arhin says Black Stars head coach Akwesi Appiah should not disclose the identity of the player who attempted to pay a gift of 25,000 euros.

Appiah in an interview with an Accra based radio station Montie FM, revealed he refused to the pocket the cash.

There are calls for the ex-international to name the said player but the former BA Stars chief wants him to be silent.

“I think, Akwesi believes that if the player's name is mentioned, it might negatively affect the career of the player,” Arhin told New Mercury FM in Kumasi

“And it would be unprofessional for Akwesi to mention the player's name either.”

Ghanaian coaches have been accused of taking bribes from players to be named in squads.
