Uganda coach Milutin Sredojevic admits his team has an almost impossible task to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations as they come up against a fired-up Ghana next month.
The Cranes have a ââ¬Ëmountainââ¬â¢ to climb after losing last monthââ¬â¢s double header against Togo.
The two poor results leaves Uganda third in Group E with just four points and facing a real prospect of not making next yearââ¬â¢s finals.
They now have to beat Ghana at home in next monthââ¬â¢s clash and avoid defeat against Guinea in their final game to probably seal automatic qualification.
But the Cranes will be coming up against a Black Stars side which appears to be returning to full confidence following a hard fought 3-1 win over Guinea in the last round.
Uganda coach Milutin Sredojevic concedes his team have put themselves in a very difficult position but remains upbeat of their prospects.
ââ¬ÅYes, the hill has now become a mountain making it very difficult but I trust my boys,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅPlaying against Ghana is like a bicycle racing in formula one. But with the appropriate techniques, we shall qualify.
ââ¬ÅGhana is a huge football country with thousands of talent but our target is to qualify.
ââ¬ÅThe task was becoming less and less difficult after we got a point in Ghana and beat Guinea, but Togo has made it very difficult now.ââ¬
