Malmo FF manager Ã…ge Hareide has lavished praises on Ghanaian midfielder Enock Adu Kofi for his influence in their 2-0 Uefa Champions League win over Greek Super League side Olympiakos Piraeus on Wednesday night.

The 24-year-old played a starring role for the Sky Blues as they produced a superior display to pick a crucial win over Olympiakos at the Swedbank Stadion.

Adu, who joined the Swedish champions just in the summer, has gelled well with his team-mates as he has played the most games among his team-mates which arriving from Belgian side Club Brugge.

And, manager Hareide says the former Liberty Professionals midfielder's influence was crucial in the middle.

"Adu is becoming a leader since he joined the side. He is a humble guy who does not want to take great location. He stays in the background and works hard. His performance was good for our win tonight," he told Sydsvenskan.

The 2007 Ghana U17 midfielder is among the only three players in the Malmo FF squad who have Champions League experience and he is hoping to bring his experience to bare as they seek to enter into the knock-out round of the competition.

"It was great win for us but we still need to work even harder to stay in competition to qualify out of the group. Like I said before, it is a tougher group and we must keep our focus if we want to qualify," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Malmo are third in Group A with three points while Juventus (leaders) and Atletico Madrid also have three points appease.
