Udinese's Kwadwo Asamoah defends Sanchez price tag

Posted On Wednesday, 22nd June 2011

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has described in-demand team-mate Alexis Sanchez as a top class player who could fit into at any top European side.

The Chilean winger has become a top summer transfer target for Barcelona and Manchester City with Udinese pricing the 22-year-old at £35million.

And Asamoah believes the former River Plates player is worth his price tag.

“When I arrived at Udinese, I studied all the players carefully but I realized he was an exceptional talent. It’s difficult to adopt to the Italian style but he did not find it difficult,” Asamoah said.

Asamoah has also been linked with a move away from Udinese.

  3. Prettytony says:

yea sanchez is an exceptional player and so is kojo asamoah,if u look at his influence in da udinese team, this even made their club president tout kojo as the future of italian football. But the truth is kojo wouldnt be bought as much as sanchez if hes to be sold, why?…these ppl are always lookin down on african players

  4. keith from germany says:

cha tha sanchez guy is very talented.i saw him play acouple of times n he is damn good.
i will prefer seeing him moving to manchester united becuz barcelona has got a lot of good players with his class.

  5. JNR says:

Personally i think he is over-rated and certainly not worth £35 million, i think he is worth £15 million. The transfer market has been inflated. Yes he is a good player but NOT exceptionally good. I guess we will see next season!

  6. pete says:

If you got the highest ratings by far from all italian newspapers combined then you ARE an exeptional player! Btw Asamoah didn’t have his best season. Inler was the king in midfield for sure
