Udinese without African duo for a month

Posted On Thursday, 3rd January 2013

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu will play at the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa

Udinese will have to do without Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu as well as Moroccan defender Mehdi Benatia for over a month.

The two players are expected to play for their respective countries at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in South Africa.

Badu is part of the Ghana’s provisional 26-man squad expected to begin pre-Nations Cup camping in Abu Dhabi this weekend.

The 22-year-old has been an integral part of Francesco Guidolin’s side this season and his absence will be a massive blow to the Fruili side as they push for a top four finish.
