Assistant referees of A.S Malik and David Laryea are amongst a CAF shortlist to officiate at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Ghana duo will get the chance to officiate at the prestigious biennial tournament if they pass a series of medical, physical and academic exercises.

Malik and Laryea are expected in Cairo by Tuesday ahead of the commencement of the screening process which begins on Wednesday.

Ghana has been without a representation on the referee’s front at the Nations Cup since veteran Alex Quartey left the scene.
