Trio yet to join Black Stars camp in Kenya

Kwadwo Asamoah expected in Ghana camp on Tuesday

Key player Kwadwo Asamoah is among the three yet to join the Black Stars camp in Kenya ahead of Saturday’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi. 

Jonathan Mensah and Rabiu Mohammed of French top-flight side Evian are the other two players who are expected to join the team later.

The three players were in action for their clubs over the weekend.

According to a statement from the Ghana FA the three players are expected in Nairobi on Tuesday to complete coach Kwesi Appiah’s 21-man squad.

Their arrival will boost the squad ahead of the game which will determine who goes to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa in January.

The team will camp in Nairobi until they leave on Friday for Lilongwe where the second-leg of the final qualifier will be played.

Ghana lead Malawi 2-0 going into the second leg of their final-round qualifier in Lilongwe on Saturday.

The aggregate winners will play at next year’s finals in South Africa.
