Ghana's Thomas Partey will not be in the Atletico Madrid squad for the upcoming season as he has been farmed out to Almeria for the entire 2014/15 season, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

Almeria have confirmed the move on their official website and will unwrap the 21-year-old Ghanaian this week.

After returning from his loan spell with Segunda Division side Real Mallorca, the former Tema Youth midfielder had been training with Diego Simeone's side while a flock of clubs including Almeria had lined-up for his signature.

Almeria, who were nearly relegated from the Spanish top-flight last season, succeeded in convincing Atleti to allow Partey join them for the upcoming season and a deal has been reached.

Partey scored five times in 37 appearances from midfield for Mallorca last term.
