French giants Olympique Marseille have agreed in principle to loan out Ghana World Cup attacker Jordan Ayew to fellow Ligue 1 side OG Nice if the young forward is not sold on permanent basis, GHANAsoccernet.com have learnt.

French news outfit L’Equipe reported earlier this week incoming Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa has told the 22-year-old to find a new club as he is deemed surplus to requirement with Lille offering a $6 millions for the player.

Jordan, third son of African legend Abedi Pele, failed to hold down a permanent place at Marseille last season and was loaned out to relegated Sochaux where he impressed, scoring 5 in 17 league appearances.

Reports from Tuesday's French newspapers claim OG Nice have already contacted Marseille about taking the striker-cum-winger on loan but Marseille have told them they will decide the fate of the player if they sale to find suitors for him in the summer transfer.

Jordan has been linked with German giants Schalke 04 and English side West Bromwich Albion while Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reportedly put the striker on his standby list in case his pursuit of France's Loic Remy fails.
