Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Mitch Apau has left Eredivisie side RKC Waalwijk to sign for Belgian Pro League outfit Westerlo, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 24-year-old completed his move before the start of the Pro League season and has already debuted for Westerlo.

Apau, an enterprising defender who can play in central defence and also at right-back, impressed on his debut season in the Eredivisie and earned the deal with Westerlo though RKC have been relegated from the Dutch top-flight.

On Saturday, he was in full-time action for them as they posted a 3-2 away victory over Sporting Charleroi.
