Former Ghana U20 midfielder Mumin Abubakar is set to join South African Premier Soccer League hopefuls Black Leopards as the club have revealed plans to sign him on permanent basis from Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 20-year-old former Liverpool triallist was farmed out to Black Leopards who play in the South African second-tier division and he impressed on his debut season in the NFD league.

Leopards’ media officer Berry Ramunenyiwa told the Siya crew that his side will be guided by the appointment of a new coach on the players the need for next season and Mumin is one of the players they are considering.

“You must remember that Mumin was on loan to us. Those are some of players that the board is going to talk about. We’ll see who we are retaining and who we are releasing, as well as how we will be approaching the new season.

Mumin joined Sundowns three seasons ago from Ghanaian Premier League side New Edubiase United but has failed to hold down a regular place in their first team.
