Striker Ahmed Toure has been named in Asante Kotoko’s squad that travels to Sunyani to take on Berekum Chelsea in tghe Premier League on Wednesday.
The Ivorian was a surprised inclusion in the 20-man squad after returning to first team training on Monday.
Last season’s Premier League MVP was dumped into the reserves by coach Maxwell Konadu after arriving late from a two-week compassionate leave to visit his ailing mother.
He has since his return been training with the reserves only to be recalled into the first team on Monday after offering a grovelling apology to the club’s technical and management for his conduct.
Kotoko will be looking to strengthen their position at the summit of the Glo Premier with a favourable result away to the defending Premier League champions on Wednesday.
