Ghana’s top stars including Michael Essien and captain Asamoah Gyan are among 12 players who have wasted no time in arriving in Accra for this week’s decisive World Cup clash against Zambia.

Demonstrating how seriously they are taking Friday’s match  other key players Kwadwo Asamoah, Mubarak Wakaso, Christian Atsu are among the Europe-based stars who arrived early for Friday’s match in Kumasi.

Goalkeeping duo of Fatau Dauda and Razak Braimah as well as Mahatma Otoo and the defensive pair of Awal Mohammed and Rashid Sumaila have arrived in Accra.

The players who arrived early were in action for their clubs on Friday and Saturday paving the way for them to reach Accra by Sunday night.

Essien is making a return to the national team after a two-year absence with various niggling injuries which led to him pleading with the authorities for time to cement his playing time at club level.

The players who have arrived will start training on Monday evening with the rest of the squad expected to join by Monday night for a full camp.

People who come to this site and other known sites and insult people using foul words instead of making informed and educated contribution are not ghanaians. Ghanaians are peaceful and lovely. This is a world cup qualifier, i think ghana will win because they are playing at home with quality players. Though in soccer anything is possible, but with this one, the unity , determination, and the desire to atone for past loss to zambia are too much for zambia to draw. The best for zambia is going down by a two-goal margin. That is my opinion . You have yours, share it respectfully.

  2. kwaku says:

totally agree…the sins of the zambians are too many to be forgiven..they must learn to chew meat well before trying to crack bones

  3. Buadi says:

Ghana is winning by 7 goals to zero. The best Zambia can do is to concede 4 goals. The is my honest view of the match.

  4. LEWIS S/AFRICA says:

@millenium. well said bro, opinions are meant to share. ghana wil win by hook or crook.

NO MATTER YOUR QUICK REVERSION ,GOD HAS REVEALED TO YOU THAT ZAMBIA WILL LOOSE TOTALLY AND THAT WHAT IS WRITTEN IS WRITTEN PERIOD.

Fear isn’t quite it. does spain or brazil not call up its best????????? would you not call these players if they were Zambian or nigerian. WE ALL KNOW WHAT THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION IS, SO DONT BOTHER ANSWERING. the Zambia beatdown is a sure certainty. the returning stars are for the final qualification games. we want to leave no stone unturned. our u-20 can whip this mediocre Zambian team.

  8. dinadina says:

Ghanaians, your over confidence is coming to an end this Friday. it seems you have not learnt any lesson from the resounding beatings you have suffered at the hands of chipolopolo. we are coming there to shut you up you talkertive chaps. Zambia is Zambia. mind you, you are the only team Zambia will collect full points, home and away. playing Ghana makes Zambia go very far in any tournament.

  9. Costinho says:

Weak zambian team with mediocre players, but loud mouthed fans…what an embarrasment to think that you havent been abe to win away for years. An apology of a national team…
